Tony has been a ceramic artist for almost 15 years. In this well rounded workshop, he will share a collection of secrets and practical tips that will benefit beginning to advanced
potters as well as introduce the attendees to an array of tools, ribs, etc. that allow Tony to achieve unusual results with his pottery.
He'll do this while demonstrating several throwing techniques including isometrics (using one's body weight/mass) to throw large forms with greater control and less fatigue. He will make functional pottery forms as well as alter
those pieces into more sculptural forms including the creation of sculptural work from multiple thrown pieces. He will discuss how to take professional photographs of
your work and how to market pottery on the internet. He says its impossible to fit into two days all he has to teach, share, and discuss so this is sure to be a great workshop, loaded with information.
In addition, Tony will have tea bowls, tea cups and other work from his anagama wood fired kiln for sale at the workshop.
